If you’re helping an older relative or loved one, you are a family caregiver.

The WRAAA Family Caregiver Support Team is dedicated to connecting caregivers with a wide range of valuable resources. What sets the Family Caregiver Support Program (FCSP) apart from other programs is its focus on the unpaid, informal caregiver as our client. At WRAAA, each caregiver is paired with a Care Coordinator who works closely with them to identify and access resources that provide meaningful support.

When appropriate, Care Coordinators assist caregivers in developing and implementing a respite plan. Our services, including information, assistance, and care planning, are provided at no cost to anyone seeking help. Additionally, we offer referrals to other agencies and services to meet individual needs.

The WRAAA’s Family Caregiver Support Program can provide:

  • Information to caregivers about available services.
  • Assistance to caregivers in gaining access to those services.
  • Time Out or respite from caregiving by providing a temporary care worker, time for your loved one at a day center or in a facility allowing you time to care for yourself.
  • Referral to Counseling, Skill Training, and Support Groups that offer a coordinated approach while working with State and community-based services.
