Nutrition Screening, Support, Education and Programs
Nutrition program services are available to persons age 60 and older and their spouses regardless of age in many communities throughout Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina counties. Priority is given to frail, homebound or isolated older adults and consumers. Services include:
Home-delivered meals – Known to many as “meals on wheels,” they provide safe and nutritious meals delivered to the home of an older person who is homebound because of illness or disability.
Congregate meals – Provide safe and nutritious meals, in addition to social interaction and activity at nutrition sites such as senior centers and community focal points.
Nutrition education and risk screening – Approved by a licensed dietitian and provided by other professionals in the aging network to ensure that all nutrition programs offer more than just a meal.
